What are the common faults of screw air compressor ? how to repair them?

As the core equipment of industrial gas source, the failure of screw air compressor directly affects the continuity of production. This article provides systematic solutions for five typical faults.


一. High temperature alarm failure
There are three common causes for this failure: insufficient oil level (lower than 1/3 of the window), radiator blockage (pressure difference > 0.1MPa), and temperature control valve failure. The maintenance steps are as follows: 1. Check the oil level after stopping and cooling, and add to the window 2/3 2. Use compressed air to reversely purge the radiator (pressure ≤ 0.5MPa) 3. Detect the opening temperature of the temperature control valve (normal opening 85±2℃)


二: Motor overload protection
1: Diagnostic points
Voltage fluctuation > ±10% (voltage stabilizer required) Bearing wear (vibration value > 1.8mm/s) Insufficient belt tension (droop > 20mm)
2: Solution
Adjust the belt tension to 10-15mm droop. Dynamic balance test is required after replacing the bearing (residual imbalance < 2g)

 

三: Abnormal pressure fluctuation
System inspection requires the following operations: Pressure sensor calibration (error needs to be < ±0.02MPa) Intake valve opening detection (the current value needs to reach the rated value when fully open) 90%) Minimum pressure valve leakage test (pressure drop <0.05MPa after 5 minutes of pressure maintenance)


四: System leakage control
Detection method Ultrasonic leak detector (frequency 38-42kHz) Pressure drop test (stop and maintain pressure for 30 minutes, pressure drop >0.1MPa needs to be checked) Control strategy Use anaerobic glue (Loctite 577) for threaded connections Metal wound gasket for flange sealing (pressure >1.0MPa)


五: Abnormal sound treatment
Sound source location Bearing abnormal sound (frequency characteristics: 1.5-2 times the rotation frequency) Rotor collision (accompanied by a sudden increase in vibration value) Intake muffler blockage (abnormal increase in suction noise) Maintenance standard Bearing clearance <0.08mm (P4 level accuracy) Rotor clearance adjusted to 0.15-0.25mm
